Sydney QF: Benneteau d. Bogomolov 6-2 6-4

Benneteau will be a dangerous floater next week. Plays Baghdatis next who he is 3-2 against.

Re: Sydney QF: Benneteau d. Bogomolov 6-2 6-4

Bogomolov was throwing his racquet after every point he missed in the last 3 games. Kind of too bad as the negativity might have contributed to the loss. He was really playing much better in the second set and still hit some great shots in those games. Finally he received a code violation when he smashed his racquet on the point that brought up match point. He'd had two break point chances in that game. But even then all is not lost, you can't just give up.

Now I'll go search on YouTube to find that point where Bogo's shot went by Bennetteau and hit the linesman in the crotch

Alex the negative attitude is making him kinda hot, for some reason.
can't bear Benneteau's typically French show-off look when making his first SF for ages...

He made the finals of Winston-Salem.

I hope he gets a tournament win some day. If he faces Nieminen in the final, one of them can do something about their awful finals record.

Nemo 1/11
Benneteau 0/5
Baghdatis 4/11
Istomin 0/1

Istomins loss shouldn't count though, he faced Stakhovsky!

Re: Sydney QF: Benneteau d. Bogomolov 6-2 6-4

Benneteau has a habit of going extremely hot for a single tournament before fizzling at the finishing line and then burrowing underground for the rest of the year.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.
