Sydney R2: Bobby Reynolds def John Isner 3-6, 6-4, 6-3

Reynolds was solid and better player for most of the match. Which isn't saying much because Isner was horrendous. Looked a bit windy there, wasn't serving well, had several horrible shanks, along with some atrocious volleying.

Reynolds broke for the 2nd set, had all the momentum then got broken by Isner who played a couple of decent points. Isner then got broken back straight away with a loose game. Isner saved 2 match points on his serve at *2-5 with some good play, but Reynolds ended up serving it out to love.

I mean, it was so windy out there that it was almost impossible to play decent tennis.

Serve loses. Good for tennis.

Well done Bobby. Held up in the wind much better.

Clearly Isner gave up after he was broken in the 3rd set and never fought to be back on the game.

hahahah after Roland Garros Isner v. Nadal we can be sure that he is more than just an all-serve player......

on a sidenote, your signature is incorrect topspin as I am a fan of Federer, yet Nadal is my favorite player on tour..... I existing contradicts your signature

I watched the first set only and Isner seemed okay, no idea what happened. But this one was his first match of the year if I know well.

Never ever give up

Keep trying. You think you can save him, I admire you for that. BTW you can also try to save Sapeod aka Word Life from saying things like "Federer and Murray have more slams combined than Nadal and Nole"...
