Auckland Q1: Hrbaty def. Riba 6-4 6-2

What a legend Domo is. He there here doing commentating for Sky Sports and decided to enter the singles.

Riba is funny.

“ On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I know Riba is baaaad in Hardcourts, but losing like this to an half retired player... there is no words.

Re: Auckland Q1: Hrbaty def. Riba 6-4 6-2

hrbaty isn't actually half retired, he has announced his retirement about 4 times but just keeps on playing lol

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Semi retired would imply he doesn't play often, he's just in denial

Playing challengers in Slovakia doesn't mean playing often, me thinks.

Can you actually fix a match in QR1 and make a decent amount of money? I doubt, it might be a tank...but this is Riba and hardcourts + Hrbaty was actually playing very good last year (after he didn´t play some months either) so this is not that surprising at all...surprising was when I saw him on the scoreboard, I had no idea he is playing again.

No fix at all. He is there commentating as I said in the OP.

“ On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

How can you say we was playing very good last year? Local tournaments? That's the only think you must be talking about.

Last year at professional level, he only played 2 tournaments, 5 matches. 3 W - 2 L.
