Doha R2: Nadal def. Gremelmayr 6-2 6-2

Mwa, routine stuff, Rafa was terrible on breakpoints.

Forehand looking better, backhand still surprisingly good.

Just wanted to post the same threed

9!!!!!!!

Rafael Nadal Perera, the best there was, there best there is and the best there will ever be
14 Grand Slams while he was plagued with injuries is remarkable and he isn't done just yet
Mad respect for the most beautiful player I've ever seen, Roger Federer
People talking about Nole winning 4 in a row and Rafa/Roger not being able to. Peak Nadal and Federer would have won multiple CYGS against this field

Who even let this Gremelmayr play on ATP level?

Rafa improving his performance again. Looking good today! Perhaps still a few too many UEs but definitely on the way up.
I don't think he needs to worry too much about his shoulder - or anything else. Playing here is the perfect way to make up for any missed time on the practice courts to get ready for the AO.

His opponent was obviously not in his league (as expected), but played suicidal at a lot of 'big points'. Nice try from Gremelmayer, good tournament for him.

Gremelmayr missing routine putaways just because Nadal was on the side of the net.

Nadal looking pretty good.

Gremelmayr has such poor movement, a pain to watch.

He played very well. The trend is getting better every day. Well done Rafi

If you must know - Marco Chiudinelli, Marsel Ilhan and Rainer Schuettler. Then Potito Starace allowed him to go a step further.

I used to be your everyday average Joe. Then one day some guy told me I can do whatever I set my heart on. So I tried to fly, and failed. He then told me that there are limitations in life and that I should be more modest in my aspirations. So I robbed a convenience store and got arrested. He then told me not to take everything people say literally, and to use my own initiative. So I became a Trump supporter, and am politely asking you to leave my country.

Damn, Gremelmayr, don't think I've seen the guy play since he took a set off Djokovic at Roland Garros.

Re: Doha R2: Nadal def. Gremelmayr 6-2 6-2

Congratulations, Rafael! Much sharper performance today. Of course, this turned out to be an easy opponent, but you needed a bit lesser pressure for change.

All the best against Youzhny in the QF!
