Chennai R1: Soeda d. Gil 6-2 6-7(5) 7-5

Shoud have been a routine win when he had 6-2 3-1 and 15-40 on Gil's serve. But then the usual choking of Soeda kicked it. After he lost the TB I really thought he would lose. He has thrown away so many matches like this in the past. But he didn't, must be a major win for him.

Curious what flyboy thinks of this win. O wait, he's banned...

No surprising result as Soeda is a better hard court player than Gil

Sad result again for Fred. I mean Soeda is a Hard specialist but Gil got some good results on the surface too. But he's still with very bad mentality! This last months had been just aweful. He must have to win this kind matches very soon!

Also, I'm starting to get tired of his FB posts. "I lost but he played really good. I'm getting more confident with my game, bla bla bla". He always says this kind of shit in his last losses, but I never see any improvement. He should just punch the table and get it together!!!

Proud fan of:

Sporting Clube de Portugal, Fútbol Club Barcelona, Newcastle United Football Club, FK Vilniaus Žalgiris

I had the chance to see him playing live and he is clearly a solo clay surface player. He might get from time to time some good performances on hard but you will find him getting results during the clay court season. At the same time he is nothing extraordinary so in the best of the cases you can expect him floating for a while between 50 and 150. I dont want to be rude but just to be realistic.
