Beeing veeery, veeery positive. What will be Lleyton's Ranking at the end of 2012?

Imagine Lleyton plays his best recent tennis (Halle 2010 for example), during big part of the 2012 season.
Do you think this is possible?
What would be his ranking?

Ah, appeal moderation? Wanna know what appeal moderation did to me?

As my magic 8-ball is in the shop, I'm not veeery, veeeery positive with my prediction.

But I'm going to say he will be around 89.

I'm "vry pstve" with this prediction.

Re: Beeing veeery, veeery positive. What will be Lleyton's Ranking at the end of 2012

It looks like his body can't handle it anymore. He can still play top drawer tennis, and if were fit for a full year I reckon he'd be back inside the top 20. But I don't think he'll have a full year. If he can contest all of the slams and a few of the Masters events, then I could see him hitting top 50.. but he's been battling injuries for 6 years now, so it'd be a surprise if he managed a healthy 2012.

I just hope he's fit for the grass court season, considering 2012 is the first time in yonks that there actually is a grass court season.

Sorry? Why do you say that?
What did I miss?
Did they made the grass faster?

No, just the Olympics at Wimbledon.

But you will see old school grass if you watch Australia's Davis Cup ties in February and (if they beat China) April.

I just can't imagine how Wimby's grass would be after holding Wimbledon, and just with one month of... let's call it "Regeneration".
But well... The olympics are always attractive.

And yeah, I watched AUS vs SWI this year. OMG, orgasmic... And I also like Hewitt, Wawa, Fed, Tomic and Gucci. So, that was pretty, pretty cool. One of the best moments of 2011 season.

If, and it's a big if, he can physically handle even half a season, he could probably get back in top25. It kinda depends where he gets a lucky draw - you could see him winning a weaker 500 perhaps, say Washington or Memphis if he's playing them. Grass and the lower-bouncing indoor tracks he can still be a major handful.

Hewitt always gets boned with crap draws in the slams. So yea, if he gets a lucky draw (unlikely, given his ranking), he could claw back some points.
He *could* finish top 50, but given the sad state of affairs that his body is, I'd say top 100.
Would be nice to see him take a couple of final scalps, maybe at the olympics, before he hangs up the racquet.

Around his age.. around 30-ish.

The side-effect of this prediction is that I've consumed my weeks supply of positivity and am now deeply, deeply depressed.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

His age has caught up with Lleyts. As much as I would love to see him turn back the clock, I just done see it happening now. He put in tremendous heart in the Davis Cup tie vs Sui, but his body let him down in the five setter against Stan who was playing on his worst surface (and himself injured). With Hewitt the heart will always be there, but I doubt his body. He is not going to cut against the top 10.

He's 31 and his body is damaged...he can't do anything against those facts
