Delpo leads 3-1 in the h2h, but Tsonga won the most recent.

At the AO: Tsonga in 4 or 5
At RG: Delpo in 4
At Wimbledon: Tsonga in 4
At USO: Delpo in 5

Overall very even matchup, I wish these two would play more often.

Delpo, no contest.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Re: Peak Tsonga vs Peak DelPotro. Who Wins?

They would both hand out a spanking each on grass and clay. Delpo would win a fairly close one the hardcourts.

Fast Bercy is Tsonga though.

Re: Peak Tsonga vs Peak DelPotro. Who Wins?

Tsonga beats Del Potro easily on grass every time since Del Potro moves like a sloth on the surface. Tsonga would also routine Del Potro at the very few tournaments that play a fast pace. The majority of the tour playing at a slow pace favors Del Potro's defensive game.

Re: Peak Tsonga vs Peak DelPotro. Who Wins?

Del Potro doesn't attempt to hit winners unless the risk is very low. Hitting the ball hard is not tantamount to being aggressive.

Delpo on all surfaces except grass.

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!
