Lightbulb The Season is OVER - A look back at the 2000's and every Slam winner

A video showing so many important memories in men's tennis history from the year 2000 onwards... I think you'll like this one, certainly not your ordinary addition to the media library!

What's your favourite memory?

The poll is multiple choice.

Wow, what a fail this thread is, mod delete it please.

Abraxas21, it appears the video is blocked WORLDWIDE because of the song I used, yet somehow I can watch it on youtube... don't understand.

I'll try again another day, really irritating.

Well at least the poll still stands.

don't sweat it, man.

just upload the video again with a different song or something. in point of fact, better upload it with no song at all. tennis videos with songs are usually a bit annoying.

I upload a variety of vids some with songs some without but I think this one works really well with a song. Well, we'll see... either way it's annoying and means I have to do a full re-render of the vid. Ciao.

Re: The Season is OVER - A look back at the 2000's and every Slam winner

Gaudio 2004

He and Ivanisevic biggest surprise winners for very differing reasons. The finals both very dramatic, the crowds were great for both of them.

Goran winning as a wildcard against Rafter, two cool guys with a proper crowd not full of upper class clowns on Monday. Disappointed Rafter couldn't get a Wimbledon but he already won a Slam.

Gaudio-Coria, hilariously bizarre match and the mutual loathing as well. One is shit scared for 2 sets, crowd does the wave starts playing better. The other guy cramps cause of nerves after 90 mins. The 5th set both guys so tight, yet Coria somehow gets 2 match points.

Funny and dramatic yet tragic in a sporting context.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Goran, what a king.

I actually think Bernard Tomic will easily win career-year mixed doubles slam in 2020.

Jealous? Yeah, you are, you dirty hater.

Re: The Season is OVER - A look back at the 2000's and every Slam winner

Will actually be very complicated to upload this video because apparently it's blocked due to some VISUAL content and all I can find about FFT that is sport related is Fantasy Football Today - What??? Alright I'm going to bed, night.

Edit:

VIDEO WORKS NOW...please watch to see all the fantastic moments of men's tennis history since the 2000's, it will really be worth your time. A lot of effort went into this one.

Re: The Season is OVER - A look back at the 2000's and every Slam winner

Pete's 2002 USO win going out a slam champ and beating Agassi of all people in the finals.. Who would have thought? Most people thought Pete's run was over by then.. He hadn't won a tournament in nearly two years.

Honorable mention to Safin-Fed at the AO in 05 which I always thought was a higher level match then the Nadal-Fed 08 Wimbledon one.

Cant forget about the Pete-Agassi 2001 USO match either with 3 tiebreaks. Great match. One of the best I've ever seen if not thee best

Re: The Season is OVER - A look back at the 2000's and every Slam winner

Apart from the usual choices of Safin 2005 AO and Sampras 2002 US Open, the 2004 AO was also very high in terms of the quality of the matches played. Safin had to get through so many Top Players of that time. Roddick,Agassi. Played a lot of marathon matches against Todd Martin,Niemenin. Too bad he ran out of gas for the final against Federer. it would have been an Epic GS of all time had he won it.

And That Sampras Agassi match at the US Open was certainly better than most of the Nadal Federer matches.
