CTF: Beck def. Bellucci 6-3, 4-6, 6-4

good result for andi , first win over thomaz in their 3 meetings.

he has got to be the favorite to win the title and he'll only solidify his place inside the top 100 here which is good for the game

Re: CTF: Beck def. Bellucci 6-3, 4-6, 6-4

Good win for Andi, he was the much more solid of the two and that's really all that counted. Bellucci just makes terrible errors, and doesn't return well enough. The crowd was pretty loud but Beck did a good job holding on, saving two break points in the third set in back to back service games.

Now he's in the top 100 provisionally and should make AO, which is a good thing. Most important, this is an appropriate result for this event that the actual challenger player won.

Beck deserved the win. After scoring the break in the opening game of the third, he was too solid on serve for Thomaz.

Andi should win the whole event but he obviously won't

The crowd was disgusting here. Absolute silence after each point Beck won late and huge cheering whenever Bellucci won a point, even if Beck double-faulted.

Wait, they cheered for their country mate? Terrible..... Some fans are just to sensitive.

That said, Bellucci is still the favorite here to me.

Beck might have been my worst prediction. When he was 22 and 33 in the world i woulda bet a lot on him being top 20 now. Instead he totally imploded. Hopefully there's still time for him to come back.

Good. Bellucci has no business playing this tournament. Its either a challenger final or its not - and including a former top 30 player who doesnt play challenger stinks.

Exactly. Bellucci has played zero matches on the Challenger tour this year, so there's no reason for him to participate in such a tournament. Great and deserved victory by Beck.

andi didnt implode, he's been plagued by injuries for the last 2 years

thankfully he's only 25 so there's still plenty of time for him to get back to where he was
