Ch Bratislava R2: Berankis def. Robert 2-6 6-4 7-6(4)

Berankis saved four match points at *5-6 in the third, including one where he hit a running BH DTL off of a great cross-court BH from Robert. This was basically a season saving victory for Berankis, who now plays Stakhovsky in the quarterfinals. Berankis has to make the finals here to give himself a real shot at making Australia.

Poor Ricardas is not a ch player. He was top 100 last december. This year was terrble with full of injuries. Let's hope he can do well next year.

What a match! Started very poorly, he was up a break in the third set then got broken back immediately after, that game with all the match points was great.
