Given his last match, every match will be tough for Tsonga regardless of the surface, but he should just take it one match at a time. I'm not expecting him to win the whole thing, but we'll see where he goes from there.

Is everyone on MTF Murray haters because I am sick of it, Andy has been number 4 for 4 years now and that's because he is consistent and deserves to be there.

nope, he droppedf to #4 for a while. Luckily for him Delpo and Soda got injured or he would probably be 5th or 6th

This.

Andy is being so underrated on here right now. People need to get it into their heads that Murray is the 4th best player in the world by a long, long way. He will be in the top 4 for a while yet, no doubt. On the otherthand, why is Tsonga being so overrated all of a sudden? Lots of people tipping him for wimbeldon etc.

Re: 2012 final top 10, how do you see it?

1. Djokovic
2. Federer
3. Nadal

Top 3 could be in any order, depends on what happens in the next two slams. Can't see any of them dropping out.

4. Murray

He's been in the Top 4 for a long time, there's no reason why he won't drop out now. Particularly given he'll still be mostly consistent and win some Masters, whereas the Berdych/Tsonga types probably won't.

5. Tsonga
6. Berdych
7. Ferrer
8. Del Potro

These four are a long way ahead of the rest of the pack, but none of them are consistent enough to make the Top 4, nor will their seedings help.

9. Tipsarevic
10. Almagro

Raonic's my next alternate, but these guys have picked up enough points already to keep them ahead of the pack.

RIP Henry Chinaski. A true MTF legend

Maybe because he beat Fed in Wimbledon, something Murray will never be able to do.

So based on one match?

And possibly the reason that Murray has not been able to do that is because he has never played Federer at Wimbeldon?

Hmm, maybe it has to do with his RG performace, but I could be wrong.

Tsonga was nothing different from his usual in RG. His match against Djokovic showed what he is capable of, but everyone already knew that. He is far too inconsistent and can't maintain that level of performance for a whole tournament. He struggled in the early rounds at RG and is just as capable of going out in R3 or something as he is at knocking out a big gun.

Re: 2012 final top 10, how do you see it?

Murray will stay top 4. His winning percent on grass is top 10 of all time, not bad for a so called 'mug on grass', I can see him winning Queens and Olympics. He is solid at Wimbledon, Good on the hard running up to and including the USO, Murray's game suits the faster hard courts. Furthermore he often sweeps the so called Asian swing and has few points to defend indoors were I could see him doing well.

Can any of the ballbashertards explain what has Tsonga or Berdych done in the last 12 months, or even in 2012, that would put them ahead of Murray? I'm really curious.

You are answering your own question. Murray is consistently losing at GS against top3 players and mostly beating the rest. Tsonga can go on a run and once in a while beat some top3 guys so thats why I think he has more chance to win the whole thing. If I have to put money on one of those guys reaching the semi I would chose Murray.

Fed has a lot of points to defend post USO.
