Bercy R2: Monaco def Simon 6-4 6-0

Great result.

The French are equal opportunity when it comes to jeering.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Paris R2 Monaco Bagels Gillou 6-4 6-0

Total destruction from Juan, Simug got a taste of another bagel in the 2nd set just like he got from Robin last year.

Bad day at the office for Gilles. He was exceptionally bad today. But his game can bore you to tears so.....

That might be worse than losing to Sickerling last year

Simon must be relieved that the Asian swing/indoor season is over. Losses to Granollers, Edben, Mannarino, Davydenko and now Monaco to end the year.

Supporting the unusual strokes gang: Dolgopolov, Mayer, Mannarino, Tomic

Re: Bercy R2: Monaco def Simon 6-4 6-0

Has Simon ever had a string of losses this bad?
Since losing to Murray in a close match in Bangkok, he's had a 2nd round loss to Ebden and four first round losses all to vastly inferior players. I just don't get where this is coming from. Hopefully he'll be back to his old self after the break.

For the first time in the history of the tournament there wasn't a 3-set match in the 2nd round (only two tie-breaks), even Isner won in unusual style today

stroke <- point <- game <- set <- MATCH -> round -> tournament -> season -> career
