Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

...and like every year, since their idol sucks when he plays indoor, Nadulltards need something to talk about, and they bring out these incredible threads: indoor tennis sucks, WTF is less important than any 250 tournament, this part of the season is meaningless since our idol Nadull is so tired because he's been out there fighting for 8 months, he is a true Spartan and does not play Ballet tennis... etc. etc. etc.

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

What a joke. Here's a short history lesson: Some years ago, all the surfaces had unique characteristics and because of that it was almost impossible to dominate on all of them. That resulted in surface specialists, contrasting playing styles and many exciting match-ups. Now everything has been slowed down to clay speed, which has made the sport much more boring.

Indoors is a great venue for tennis. They should keep the indoor courts quick though and stop the homogenization.
True shower, bad showers... reminds me of this thread.

On slow courts it is easier to go insane on court because there is more time to think about mistakes or 2nd guess your shots. This is why only the mentally and physically strong and the smart survive the slow courts.

On fast courts players can get lucky more often. because players can just swing there heartout each shot and sometimes its a winner. You have to serve good but that's only one part of the tennis game.
BULLSHIT.

Nadal has 1 indoor title, ergo indoors sucks.

Go home.

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

This is why Everclown makes fixed polls in his thread which don't give you options. He's getting embarrased in this one Next time have all your poll options be: no, no way, absolutely not, indoors sucks, I love Nadull, and I love Everko

Don't even try bothering with everko, his kind of 'logic' belongs to planet Alpha centauri or something the like. Oops.

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

I love indoor tennis, i love all tennis.

What makes tennis so uniquely special is the different surfaces and conditions and how they dramatically give certain players advantages due to the nature of their game.

it would be nice if the clay was slowed down, the grass was sped up, and the ATP stopped doing their best to homogenize the surfaces.

Indoor tennis is bad for the game.
