Man, I had about seventeen wanks over that Sampras-Becker highlight reel. I re-watch it every six months or so. Love it. Tennis.

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

The number of players who actually grow up on indoor court is pretty high. Consider that the three who are best indoor are Federer, Soderling, and Murray - all players from countries where you really need to be indoors most of the year because it's too cold/windy/dreary to seriously practice outdoors. You couldn't say those three play the same style.

I wouldn't want it year-round but when weather like at the US Open occurs, this is a solid backup. Those indoor events with the arena setting does make for more excitement from the fans.

Actually it does seem to break down along those lines on here quite often, consciously or otherwise

The only reason anyone would hate indoors is if they are Nadaltards. That's the only reason. Only Nadal fans hate indoors, or fans of claycourters who can't even get any wins indoors.

Actually what happened in London at the last major indoor Nadal/Murray match? Would that mean Murray does even less well by your bizarre standard? Nadal beat everyone but Federer at the last tour finals and he had his chances there as well. He's a very solid player on the surface because he is a great player though obviously it is not his best.

Anyway the lines here certainly do seem to be largely drawn according to people's player preferences in any case.

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

I think indoor is good because it's least affected by outside factor like wind and rain. Pure control and nothing based on lucky bounce because the surface is usually in better condition.

Indoor tennis is just adorable to watch both from court and on TV.

You ARE deluded though. You think everyone here hates clay, when clay has been there since the sport's baby years.

You just don't respect the history of the game, just prefer all conditions to be perfect for Nadal and fuck the rest.

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

Paris was a joke tournament. Good thing Nadal pulled out of it, he should not have to waste his time there in tournaments like that. ATP needs to wake up

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

Clwon season ends in the most clownish way. Federer himself lives on Mt.Clown, making this event seem like he won a calendar slam. I can't believe so many people think this event shows anything about Federer and next season.

Book this.

Winning this means nothing. Federer will have a worse 2012 than he did 2011

Well said.

It's a big tournament clearly, but we all know the real reason he won this year.
