WWW Stockholm R1: Raonic v.s Baghdatis

This is an interesting round 1 match up, definately the most interesting of all the round one matches in the draw. Marcos has started to play well again so this could be extremely difficult for milos who's still not at 100% and even if he was marcos would be really tough for him

who do you think will win this one?

Tricky match. If Milos serves well, he will win in 2 tight sets.

I hope Marcos wins this but if Milos will serve too good, should be very hard.

Never ever give up

Re: WWW Stockholm R1: Raonic v.s Baghdatis

Phew, tough one for Milos. He probably could do with the match practice against this quality of opposition though, so it's perfect.

He seems to be getting back into the thick of things so, Milos in 3.

Best round 1 match in Stockholm.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

is it just me or does Baghdatis seem to get really tough 1st round matches, even in "lesser" tournaments

Baggy won this title in 2009. Got a feeling he will come through.

That's what you get for mugging up a storm for a whole season - you drop to 50+ and get awful draws.

Shows how hard it is for guys who're down there all the time.

Re: WWW Stockholm R1: Raonic v.s Baghdatis

The balls + surface combo here is one of the best for serving out of the ones on the ATP tour, similar to some of the indoor challengers in France/Italy.

Raonic and Anderson have a really good chance.

Re: WWW Stockholm R1: Raonic v.s Baghdatis

Baggy should theoretically win as he's a much better player than Raonic, however serve makes such a huge difference that I won't be surprised if the serve-bot takes it in two 7-6 7-6

Re: WWW Stockholm R1: Raonic v.s Baghdatis

Raonic will get alot of looks at second serves, the question is can he capitalize on them?

I'll go with Milos in 3 a third set TB.
