He's cleaned the lines with serves on the historic lawns of the All England Club and now Wimbledon winner Goran Ivanisevic is spending time sweeping streets in his native Croatia.
The former world No. 2 shocked pedestrians who spotted him sweeping streets in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. Ivanisevic put down the racquet and picked up the broom to perform his part for a reality TV show "The Exchange Office", according to an Annanova report.
The 33-year-old Ivanisevic rose at 5:30 a.m. to report to work, which was almost as physically demanding as tennis.
"I did get tired but at least I proved that I could do the job of road sweeper," Ivanisevic told Annanova.
The colorful Croatian created more than clean streets with his efforts.
"Some passers-by could not believe it when they saw Goran Ivanisevic sweeping rubbish from the city streets. One even passed out with the shoc
k," Robert Knjaz, the show's host, told Annanova.
