Most ranking points ever?

I see Novak currently has over 14,000 ranking points. I believe Roger and Rafa were able to reach similar totals at some point in their careers. Does anyone know which tennis player was able to compile the most total ranking points ever? I mean, was there a week in the past when Roger was able to amass over 15,000 rp?

Re: Most ranking points ever?

The ranking system has been changed so much that this is an insignificant statistic. Only way to make it comparable would be to somehow scale the ranking points to one standard.

Supporting the unusual strokes gang: Dolgopolov, Mayer, Mannarino, Tomic

this; they have changed the values of different tournaments and the entire system for that matter, way too many times

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

no better way to measure tournaments value than by points that the tour attributes them. true though, a unified standard is needed.
