Shanghai R2: Wawrinka def. Young 6-7(5-7), 7-6(7-2), 6-2

This result makes me happy. Stan was a set and a break down but he came back and took the 2nd set tiebreak shockingly easily. Im not sure if young played an awful tiebreak or stan played an incredible one but he got up 6-0 and young fought off 2 set points before stan closed it out. 3rd set..i guess young just ran out of gas

i got to say though..im not a fan of stans new "im only going to start playing tennis once im a set and a break down" method.

Regardless, Young is on the right track, Wawa is going the other way.

Wawa be a lucky man today really, but good on him for taking advantage of Youngs lapse after being a set and a break up.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Good effort from Donald, shows the U.S. Open match wasn't a fluke. Hopefully next time he can close it out when he gets the opportunity.

Young should have won. Not that big a deal since both are mugs, but I would like for Young to do well to piss off the USTA some more

The truth is i'm conflicted about Don's loss because Murray hasn't played yet.

Still a decent week. I expect him to mop up some points the next few weeks at the 250 events in Europe.

It says in the ST. Pete tournament thread that Donald is out despite being raqnked high enough for the MD. I wonder why that is and where the source came from if true

Young is still a choker but he proved his USO was not a fluke Haters can say what they want, but Young almost beat the lucky Wawrinka again.
