Screw the Asian leg! This is the real tournament of the week.

Love both players. They need to improve rankings, both deserve top 50.

Talk about good finals today:
Berdych vs Cilic
Nadal vs Murray
Karlovic vs Blake
Benneteau vs Seppi

Congrats to Ivo and best of luck to the pair of them for the rest of the year and 2012.

A nice, much-needed jump in the rankings for Ivo: from 76 to 59

Also last I checked he was still in the entry list for next week's Tiburon challenger. Hopefully he can pick up another mass of points there.

No surprise for me that Karlovic won. Blake is more or less done. Should retire or just stay at this challenger level. Karlovic is in better game shape.

There'll be a whole bunch of players retiring at the end of 2012. These 2 are among that group.

Re: CH Sacramento F: Karlovic def. Blake 6-4 3-6 6-4

Blake is a good Challenger level player now who can occasionally rise and make a good run at an ATP tournament. He can still compete at Tour level though. At one point he had won 9/10 first-round Tour-level matches on the year, I think.

Nice job by Ivo in not dropping a service point in the 3rd set 20/20.

Why would Ivo retire exactly? I contend that his backhand is as good now as it has ever been, and if he keeps hitting it down the line like he did earlier in the year he can absolutely cause problems for people for the next couple of years.

Well done by the funniest tennis player on twitter! I have never been a fan of his game but he has won me over with his comments on twitter.

Karlovic isn't remotely funny on twitter. Maybe one day his dream will come true and Serena will acknowledge his e-stalking
