Re: WWW Tokyo F: Nadal vs. Murray

If Nadal is going to lose to anybody, I'd want it to be Murray. He is the classiest player in the world outside of Nadal.

Nadal has a chance of being the first man to defend the Japan Open title since Pete Sampras in 1994

That's only IF you think Shanghai is all that relevant. And it's funny to see some people downgrade a player for losing finals... wonder what all the players not even making them feel...

Re: WWW Tokyo F: Nadal vs. Murray

fast hardcourts, bigger opponent and a slightly better occasion = advantage nadal

murray is one of the best best of 3 sets format players of all time, so bearing that in mind i am picking nadal in 3 sets......

Faster court favours Murray, not Nadal.

Could go either way.

Re: WWW Tokyo F: Nadal vs. Murray

Which is faster, US Open or Tokyo? US Open surfaced favored Nadal. So if faster courts favor Murray then Tokyo would need to be faster than US Open.

Well this is interesting. Finals of a 500 event in Tokyo. A mental battle. A few months ahead of AO, a month before WTF.

Of course it is important.

At least he's winnin' matches and gettin' points, tryin' to run down the Djoker for #1.

Where is Roger these days? On a beach in Jamaica? Changing diapers? Perhaps filming another NetJets or Rolex commercial?

I've never seen that before, it's usually after "suitable" rest.
I guess Engrish strikes again

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”
