It really is question mono situation?
It is not a problem that could be underrated.
Is Robin healthy 100% or still feels the problems of mono?

Mono is a short and not serious illness...it's not mono which stops him from playing today but an old wrist injury

Re: Your Expectations for Robin Söderling in 2012?

Haters gonna hate, still bashing the guy who cracked the top 4 and made btb RG finals and def Nadal and Federer in Slams on CLAY. And was solid top 5 for a long time.

Hope you enjoy this joke era right now though with Fish, Tipsarevic and Almagro in the top 10 and Ferrer,Bird and Tsonga as the top contenders to the top.

Soderling> Berdych,Tsonga,Ferrer,Tipsarevic,Fish,Almugro 29-12

Re: Your Expectations for Robin Söderling in 2012?

I expect him to have a Del Potro 2011 kind of season, provided he can actually start to play. Probably a little worse than Delpo since he is a lot older and was never quite as good as Delpo at his peak anyway. He might have a good year in 2013 before declining again, he'll be too old by then. But I don't think he'll ever be top 5 again.

Just ask Mario Ancic how short it was.
Sometimes could be short, but there are many cases when the recuperation takes to 1 or two years.

Re: Your Expectations for Robin Söderling in 2012?

Nothing really. I think he's done at the top. I do hope i'm wrong however.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

I think Soderling may win a slam and i'm not joking
Of course it's very tough because of this injury... if only he didn't get injured this season...

Yes. But in Soderlings case he's been injured for long periods previously in his career. Especially that evil wrist injury that caused him to miss 6 months. Then he came back with a vengeance.

Remember this season when his foot was done for Wimbledon and he even canceled DC week ahead and also got a stomach sickness. Then in his mini-comeback he crushed everyone like nothing. He's a mysterious player that even has won entire tournaments playing with fever. He doesn't need to move much with his game so whenever he comes back from mono he will be rusty but you never really know as the true potential will be sky-high as always.
