the slowness of courts has been really exaggerated, particularly at slams.......australian open is fast these days compared to rebound ace days, french open is uber fast compared to the old days......wimbledon is slightly slower and us open decoturf is fast as well......so i see they actually sped up slams overall......
just because the players retrieve a lot more balls on an average doesn't mean the courts are as slow as you make it out to be......
affirmative great general shankar. it is absolute horse shit.
the runaway blinding speed of the game more than negates the so called slower courts.
they are hapless clowns who dont have the ability to read the game who believe that the game is slower today.
fed served even nole right off the court at RG this year. clay courts are playing fast and the grass is still grass. only the u.s. open surface played slightly slower this year but again, the runaway speed of the game more than compensated for it.
fish was amazed at how fast the courts were playing at cincy and even said so.
did anybody see those returns by nole at the u.s. open for instance? and how about those near 100 mph drives into the corners.
who but a complete imbecile would think that the game is slower today.
and by the way, this is not subject to any further discussion. this discussion ends now.
and now back on topic, i really believe that the clay warrior surprises the world again next year.
