This was an interesting thread.

He is back on the DC team now, but why is only one of the rats in there?

Can you retire and still play Davis Cup?

Re: Udomchoke Leaves Tour 2012

Just a shame as he has been mainly out of the tour in 2010, struggled to return back in 2011 and now is finding his best form again in 2012 (he reached the MD of the Australian Open from the Q) and won this week the CH of Burnie which will help him to raise close to the top 155.

I don't know what's greater... announcing that he retires and then playing DC and winning a challenger or nobody posting on this thread when the OP announced his retirement

Re: Udomchoke Leaves Tour 2012

It doesn't sound like to me that he is retiring now maybe at the end of this year? I misread the article it is indeed at the end of this year that he said he would retire.

You can retire and do whatever you want, including playing any ATP or ITF tournament. Stich, JMac, Hrbaty are just handful of examples

Re: Udomchoke Leaves Tour 2012

Udomchoke seems to be playing very well right now. Not sure he will retire if he keeps this level all the year.

Re: Udomchoke Leaves Tour 2012

Winning the Burnie challenger dropping just one set can only make a person decide against retirement.

162nd in the world now.. what was his career high?

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.
