Wimbledon R2: [28] Nalbandian def. Haider-Maurer 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-4

AHM played a good match, he's got a lot of power, but Nalby was a little to slick from the baseline for him. AHM is very inconsistent but he has the power and heaviness on his groundies to be successful on all courts, plus he can volley some and has decent variety so he has game.

David went to the net a lot and was pretty successful. Only 4/18 on break points. Hit a lot of nice winners and counter-punched pretty well. Not an amazing performance but decent. Serve was on and off.

Great clash coming up on paper,

in reality Fed will blow Nalby away in straights.

No one talks of Nalbandian anymnore, but on his day he can deliver a great match at some point in this tournament.

All Italian Players

Especially Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini

Juan Martin Del Potro

Roger Federer

Thomas Berdych

Fernando Verdasco

Fed-Nalby is intriguing, maybe Nalby will rise to the occasion

Good perf from David, now hope he'll eat some goat cheese for dinner...
If Berdych did it last year, why not him

Given how he played today, he isn't going to beat Roger. He played well, but it wasn't good enough. A little too up and down. The biggest issue will be his serving. Roger will be in a lot of return games if David doesn't serve better than today.

It will really depend on what the morning buffet has to offer.

Good for Nalby, He can trouble Federer but winning is a different story. THe most important thing is going to be How Nalby can return Federer serve which is almost unreturnable on grass and of course He is going to be careful with his serve which often gives him problems.
Nalbandian is one of the player which return Federer serve the best but in his last match he had not even a bp (only match happened that I think and this is first time they face on grass.)

Great for David! I'm so happy for him, but we all know he can't beat Fed.
Anyway, it would be a great match, the old rivalry again... Shit, I miss that.
