Where Rochus would be on rankings with a few plus inches?

I'm watching DelPo's match against Rochus. Everytime I see this small guy, I think he is a fantastic player in every aspect. Maybe it has been discussed, don't know about. Rochus has the talent of the top 5 exception maybe for Federer. Brilliant guy.
Go Juan Martin!

Top 5. A few inches always make the difference.

I've been asking this myself very often as well. What a retriever he is!
Top-20 seems a reasonable guess to me.

Not consistent enough - look at the way his ranking went up and down during his career. There's no good reason he should ever drop out of the top50.

Dont make conclusions after seeing him play against Delpo on grass, everyone does look good against him grasscourt, this is sad fact. -_-

Only way to lose Delpo on grass is to b horrible UE bot.

Top 20, would probably have had a brief stint in the top 10.

Horrible? DelPo surprises even me, one of his fans with his soft hands at the net. I mean he has potential at serve and volley if he will work that out sometime. Serve was big today as well. Hands down, Rochus worked hard for that 7-6. Go Juan!

Re: Where Rochus would be on rankings with a few plus inches?

Well it's like saying where would a taller player be if they were even 3-4 inches shorter. Truth is you become another player.

Rochus has adapted to being short by using stronger opponents power against them and with a smashing footwork and change of directions that a tall player can only dream about. He couldn't play the way he is playing if he was 6'2

Re: Where Rochus would be on rankings with a few plus inches?

few inches taller might work for some advantage but he would also lose his retrieving capabilities, he wouldn't be as ajile.......he is just what he is, leave him be......
