Wimbledon R1: [Q] De Voest def. Ramirez-Hidalgo 6-2 6-3 6-2

SO MANY missed opportunities from Ruben throughout. He had at least deuce in every single serve game of Rik in the third set, had opportunities to break several times in the second set as well.

With that said, I'm happy for Rik in taking advantage of the draw and getting a grand slam win. He really deserves it.

Turin now for Ruben. He needs to win it to save his ranking.

Hidalgo was NEVER winning this.

Destroyed, as expected.

Re: Wimbledon R1: [Q] De Voest def. Ramirez-Hidalgo 6-2 6-3 6-2

Lol, who exactly was thinking RRH had a real chance?
And then trying to compensate that stupid prediction by saying he had so many chances

Voest 5/16, RRH 0/9

Epic fail again flyboy. Please don't predict anymore if you just want to be a fanboy. You clearly haven't learnt much from watching all those matches.

I actually said Rik would win, but I thought Ruben had a good opportunity to win the match. Which he did, he missed all 9 break points and had several 30-30 and deuces. Yes, Ruben definitely could have won this, it's not as if De Voest is a world beater. Ruben failed to take advantage of his opportunities.

He could've won, yet he lost 6-2 6-3 6-2
That's almost as hilarous as when you said Bolelli came close to beating Murray in his straight sets loss to Murray at Roland Garros.

You do know Hidalgo wasn't the only one with break opportunities? Even if he took most of those breaks, he would've been broken too and would've still lost the match in straights. De Voest >>>> Hidalgo.

Re: Wimbledon R1: [Q] De Voest def. Ramirez-Hidalgo 6-2 6-3 6-2

On grass De Voest>Hidalgo.

Overall Hidalgo>De Voest.

If Ruben took most of the breaks, we wouldn't know how the match went, because he didn't take the breaks. Obviously.

Anyway, even though Ruben failed today, it's not a big deal. This would have been extra points really. Next week in Turin is where Ruben needs to be at his best.

Yeah, as you've said, the challengers are more important

Re: Wimbledon R1: [Q] De Voest def. Ramirez-Hidalgo 6-2 6-3 6-2

Hidalgo is better than De Voest. Rik has never been top 100 and there is a reason for that. De Voest has never beaten anyone like Cilic, Blake nor taken Federer to 5-1 in the third. Get real, people. If Ruben plays his best, he beats De Voest. That simple.

For Ruben, Turin is more important than Wimbledon so hopefully he wins next week.

Re: Wimbledon R1: [Q] De Voest def. Ramirez-Hidalgo 6-2 6-3 6-2

De Voest beating anyone by this scoreline is pretty unfathomable. His return game is so shit that Ramirez Hidalgo should be ashamed to not get more than three games in one set.

But, credit where credit is due, De Voest worked hard to get here and was, of course, never going to lose this match.

exactly what I meant to say. Once again flyboy doesn't come with arguments to repress our points. And he doesn't admit he's totally wrong.
