Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on one of the best streaks ever

Before today, Nole would remain undefeated for the rest of his career. After today, he's done and a midget at slams. Never in doubt with MTF.
Fact is, he had an amazing run which is among the best in history, even if no records were broken. And number 1 is just a matter of time.
I'm not a fan of him but he should be congratulated on this amazing (and completely unexpected) run

True.

So many wasted half the year wishing it to end. But we'll probably not see history like this again for some time to come. Any follower of this sport should relish all its greatness, not just that achieved by one player.

Re: Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on one of the best streaks ever

For me, it's the greatest streak in history.

The fact that he beat #1 Nadal four times, and all time great Federer 3 times?, is what makes it so special. Plus the fact that there was a grand slam involved.

Really, credit to the man, he must be gutted having to lose right now instead of a couple weeks earlier.

Re: Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on one of the best streaks ever

Novak's streak is a joke. He did not play Roger in Mardid or this would have been over sooner. Novak is a mental midget. That's just a fact. After 4 days of rest, he faces what McEnroe calls Grand Pa and loses in 4 easily. I mean he was dominated tonight. Congratulations on nothing. If he goes and wins Wimbledon, we are talking about something. Other than that, Novak did nothing special. haha

Thanks for opening this thread Loco.

My Nole lost today to a better player, I'm not a hater i can recognise it.
I just hope that he bounces back and goes to win Wimbledon and/or USO.
But no matter what he does for the rest of the season he already has a place in the history books for the most amazing streak ever. He's been awesome and all things brilliant and he's the n#1 player this year. A loss had to happen sooner or later.

Novak Djokovic nº1!

Re: Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on one of the best streaks ever

it was a good streak

ironically enough, i was rooting for him today as he's had a real chance of beating nadal in the final. can you believe it? the first match of the year i was rooting for him and he loses. i guess my jinxing powers must be quite strong

Hats off to Nole. Possibly the best streak ever considered McEnroe's didn't include a Slam.

Yeah great streak that was worth 1 AO. I will take the Nadal streak in 2008 that made him the RG and Wimbledon champion. Thanks.

Congrats to Nole on a great run

"When I'm asked, how is it to be around Federer, and what is he really like, I always reply, "I wish people could meet him when cameras or an audience aren't around, as he is one of the nicest people I have ever met when stringing on tour. " -- drakulie

What is better Nole's 41 match streak or Roger's 16 Grand Slams?

?
