Re: FO SF: Federer def. Djokovic 7-6(7-5), 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(7-5)
Crazy good from the Baby Daddy.
Roger won by making sure two advantages were felt throughout the match: (a) his serve and (b) the clay surface. There were moments in the match when Nole was made to look like an amateur figure skater, such was the slipping and sliding produced by Federer's varied, opportune, patient and often wrong-footing shotmaking. The Man was relaxed come the 2nd set, and Nole wilted a bit at the task ahead of him.
Then Roger started leaking errors in the 3rd set, and Nole steeled himself, whipping fore- and backhands with what seemed like abandon, but was his now well-known zone-ishness. Djokovic was on the verge of taking the 4th set, when Roger steadied the ship's prow (that serve), began to refocus the pressure with Graf-like defense, and set himself up for an advantageous TB.
A meaningful win for Federer, no question. Not sure it says anything about what will occur on Sunday. But it might change the texture of the next six months of the season. Djokovic was ready to run away with -- or over -- Nadal on his way to the top.

Always on the lookout for a great tennis match.
