RG R3: Simon df. Fish 6-3, 6-4, 6-2

Convincing enough win, a few shaky moments when serving out sets but all in all solid performance Mardy played pretty poorly, double the unforced errors compared with Gilles. Soderling or Mayer up next.

Gilles Simon
Dimitrov • Mahut • Paire • Hewitt • Raonic • Berdych • Gulbis • Murray

Thanks for the memories... Andy Roddick.

Simple Simon says to Fish "you're outta here".

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Too many errors from Fish. Simon and his pushing ways won't work against a guy that can hit winners easily. We will see against Soderling

Well at least we got one guy to the third round ...Mardy should have a good rest of the season.

Gilles is too solid. Without considering the H2H, I think he has a chance against Robin (assuming he beats Leo) - his game seems like the type that would frustrate the hell out of Robin and not allow him to dictate all the time because the ball won't sit up as much. The H2H is 4-2 to Robin though, so I guess I'll just wait and see

Good stuff, Simon.

I'm not sure what Fish's gameplan really was. A bad match from him and he just made too many unforced errors, Simon had a couple nice backhands down the line and he played solid. Good win
