Post Roland Garros R3: WWW Djokovic vs. Del Potro

Can Del Potro push Djokovic to 4 or 5 sets, could he manage to pull an amazing upset?

Will Djokovic simply eliminate Del Potro in 3?

Discuss.

Re: WWW RG R3: Djokovic vs Del Potro?

I want Novak to win so he can spank Nadal in the final. But lets face it folks. Del Potro is the real #1 regardless of the streaks or whatever else these folks do. He is just at another level. I'll be pulling for Novak because I think Del Po is not fit enough to bagel Nadal in the final

DelPo will do to Djokovic what he did to Federer.

I want Del Potro to win this, but most probably Djokovic will take it in 3 or 4 tight sets. GO DELPO!

Djokovic in 3.

Delpo looked like his hip bothered him on the serve and the big forehands in today's match. I'm not positive he'll finish the match against Djokovic. It's a pity really, because if he were 100%, he would definitely have a shot..

Gift him the title before the final, just like he did in 2009?

Re: WWW RG R3: Djokovic vs Del Potro?

Djokovic will win this easily. Del Potro hasn't defeated a top player this year, he lost in straights against very average Nadal, additionally he's still struggling with physical issues, so I even doubt Del Potro will be able to finish this match, considering it's intensity.
Besides Pony doesn't appear as a bad match-up for Nole, I believe their H2H is very one-sided and Novak was way below current level of tennis.

I think so too. Del po is running at 60% at this point. But it will be great when Murray, Del Po, and Djokovic are all playing at 100%. Cause they all give Rafa trouble.

Djokovic in 3 or 4. I can't see Del Potro winning this one.

So Soderling isn't a top player anymore?

For me Del Po is a better clay mover than Djokovic and he has the power to hit through Djokovic's amazing defence. Physically Del Po said he was fine so it's going to be an absolute cracker. I think the streak will end friday.

WWW RG R3: Djokovic v Del Potro

Does the streak end here? Or will Djoko march inexorably on, riding roughshod over the perhaps still recovering Argentine?
