Garros R2 : Kavcic vs Del Potro

Juan Martin should take this in 3 sets - sleepwalking.

Delpo in 3

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Kavcic is a good returner, but that won't be enough.

Re: Garros R2 : Kavcic vs Del Potro

Remember that Del Potro is a big mystery these days, he's still looking for a top player rythm, he's capable of playing one good match followed by utterly bad one, so I'd pick Del Potro but with high risk of an upset.

Re: Garros R2 : Kavcic vs Del Potro

I doubt we will see an upset here. It might not be a cakewalk for him but I think DelPo should win in straight sets.

only question here is JMDP fit., if he is 100% fit this would be banker at any odds., JMDP is most reliable player on tour.

He showed even at 30% he can win matches against very good players. Even with a bad day, his giant mental helps him out. Okay, maybe not against Djokovic but surely against Kavcic.

Re: Garros R2 : Kavcic vs Del Potro

Delpo should win, but Kavcic as good returner can have shot in long rallies - definetely he must be quicker on the court than tall Delpo after injury , Delpo will win but it will be tough match - match with Ivo was tough mentally, but this will be though for him physically i think- a lot of rallies i expect.

I disagree with that point because by reliable I mean a player who can be regular not only in strict tennis terms, but also can stay injury free and who's able to rival throughout the season, not only in some short parts of it. As for Del Potro, he has been permanently injured for a year with some short episodes of undisturbed game.

there will be long rallies only if Delpo plays bad or wants to play them. Not many players can deal with those devastating forehands. Even on clay, slow or anything else, these flat forehands seem unreturnable.
