Roland Garros R1: Youzhny def. Soeda 7-5 6-2 6-4

Not impressed by Misha. The one thing you can say is that Misha played aggressively throughout much of the match, but that can be attributed to the fact that Soeda has absolutely no weapons. Youzhny's serve isn't a weapon anymore and he's very inconsistent. I can see Kuku taking him out in R2.

Misha moved better today than I have seen from him lately and he hit some nice backhands, but in my opinion, he's in terminal decline. I'm just happy Soeda is far from the top 100 now since he certainly doesn't belong there.

Even beating Soeda on clay must count as a major triumph for Youz atm :-)

Atleast he won.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.
