Re: Which qualifier/lucky loser will go the farthest in RG?

on paper Mayer and Ilhan have the better draw to make it past R2, but Ilhan retired today so I dont know how fit to play is he
maybe Schoorel can upset Wawrinka?

Darvcis if Llodra doesnt show up might have a chance also

Leo mayer

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Kubot. Just because you hate hear it.

Seriously, I hope isn't Bogomolov. I'll go with Veic and L Mayer. They can do R3 with their draw.

Never ever give up

Re: Which qualifier/lucky loser will go the farthest in RG?

Personally, I think that Gremelmayr, as much as I dislike him, has a pretty good shot at Davydenko and I can see him making R3. I think Phau has a good draw, most of you will say he won't be Monfils, I disagree I think that is a winnable match for him. I also think that Beck and Falla will have opportunities. But the guy with the best opportunity for a deep run clearly is Leo Mayer.

I believe everything from Cuevas and Davydenko. I hope I'm wrong because I like both anyway, specially Cuevas.

Re: Which qualifier/lucky loser will go the farthest in RG?

Guez has a nice draw, but i don't know his abilities that much.

Also Phau, i should agree with Filo that he can beat Monfils nowadays. 2nd round looks also very possible to come through.

True, but he got through three matches here already, and is playing at home, and has a nice draw, so I think it's possible. Still, I'd like Stakhovsky to beat him

Stakhovsky will clean out Guez. Such a great match-up for the Ukrainian. He can toy with Guez all match long.

Re: Which qualifier/lucky loser will go the farthest in RG?

Don't know the draw well but guys that have decent chances of getting a win in the first round are Mayer, Schoorel and even Dancevic if the court is in lightning-mode, which it can be.

The others are hard to call.

I was looking over the 1R matches for a game and noticed that the draw is pretty tight this year. Relatively close matches no matter the rank of the players involved.

Re: Which qualifier/lucky loser will go the farthest in RG?

And Leo Mayer, of course, i forgot him.

I've never seen Guez playing. I don't think Stakhovsky in the 3 round of RG is the sign that tennis is alive.
