Nice QF: Dolgopolov def. Ferrer 6-4 1-6 7-5

Wow, great!

Second set was horrible though, Dolgopolov 3/18 winners/UE and Ferrer 3/8 . But the third set was very entertaining, great shots from Dolgo.

He approves.

Great shootmaking from Alexandr in the third set and solid serving.

Lovely to see Dolgo snatch a win over a 'big name'!
Don't get me wrong, I love Pics too, but I'd really like to see Dolgo do well at this 'minor' tournament.

Bad quality match though - from what I saw, way too many UEs left the rackets of both players, Ferrer's just a few (many, in that 1st set!) more. Can't help but get the impression that Ferrer wasn't all too seriously trying in this match (why was he here in the first place? ), and I'm sure he'll do better at RG. At least I hope so.

Dolgopolov is simply a top 5 mover.

Dolgo was very good in the third set, so deserved victory. Ferrer wasn't as good as yesterday unfortunately.
Good that he can rest up now.

The margin for error in Dolgo's game is so slim

But he's finding some form which is good to see.

Great result. For both, actually. Ferrer should rest a bit for RG.

Get some rest Ferru. I want to finally see you make a QF at the French!

Well done to Dolgo. Could take the title now!
