Dusseldorf: R.Soderling def. M. Gonzalez 6-1, 6-4

Soderling looking better after his groin problems and was hitting his FH as good as ever. Gonzalez dropped first set in 25 mins or so. Then Soderling fell asleep and Gonzalez went up for a 3-1 lead in 2nd set before Sod came back and made quick work of the 80 ranked player.

Soderling now got a pretty solid 11-1 singles record in Dusseldorf and haven't lost there since 2007 against another Gonzalez, Fernando Gonzalez

Of course Sweden lost the match anyway when the doubles team mugged it up. No surprises

One more match then it's off to RG!

At least his injury doesn't seem that bad. I actually think it's good for Robin to get some more matches here on clay before Paris.
