Re: Which is/was the toughest task in tennis from 2005?

the poll result is right......nadal will be physically and mentally ready to fight for 7 hours if needed in a french open final.......that itself breaks the will of the opposition.......that is why defeating nadal in a french open final will be widely regarded as the toughest task in tennis.......

Federer's made 7 Wimbledon Finals, Nadal 5 RG Finals, Djokovic 2 AO Finals...

Can't be compared?

Berdych | Murray | Tsonga | Monfils | Raonic | Soderling

Do you mean since 2005?

If that's the case, then I'd go with Djoker & Nadal. They've yet to be defeated in their respective finals

they can be compared, it's more about how tough they have proved to be than how many they contested in.......

Can't go for the whole task right away. First a player must find a way to lose a set to Murray in a slam final

yeah i know that Soderling isn't doing any better

Re: Which is/was the toughest task in tennis from 2005?

Nadal has the edge here in terms of invincibility and based on the date window having never lost in 5 finals. Federer with 4 final wins and only 1 defeat is not far behind. Djokovic needs to reach a few more finals at the AO to make a 5 final minimal comparison and win at least 2 of them.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
