A player that makes a Wimbledon QF, Wimbledon R3, Olympics R3, AO R3 twice, is an ATP quality player. That record is better than several players ranked above Lu.

What's better, reaching the final of an ATP event or reaching a QF at Wimbledon?

Perfect example.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

My issue is I'm too good at MTF but not good enough for club level.

you're old and you know it. Declining alarmingly at age 25, as Federer.

Klizan used to be the case, now hes probably an atp player.

Kavcic perhaps, but its not like he was tearing apart the challenger tour in the recent years, although he was one of the best clay courters out there.

Benjamin Becker perhaps?

Clearly an underachiever in the atptour.
At least hes someone that cant beat top 30 players, but he hangs pretty well against 50-100 opposition.

He ended Agassi's career, so he doesn't count.

Actually he might be the ultimate example

I'm having that problem myself at the moment. Been grinding away for years too. Top Spin 4 on Professional mode can be a real bitch.

he was top 50 from january-august2007 and july2009-may2010 and has 1 atp title, I guess injuries hurt him a bit.
Also he came from out of nowhere in 2006 as a 25 year old.
He could have been talented enough to be a top30 player.
