Since when? They only need to ranked at least 4th in their country and play two ties from 2009-2012 with one ties being in either 2011 or 2012.

Re: ATP Rankings Thread

Those national German rules are made for every single olympic sports, as the DOSB doesn't want to send athletes that have no real chance whatsoever at a decent place. Still, they overlook these rules in certain cases, which is why that Mayer still might be allowed to play the Olympics.

Re: ATP Rankings Thread

Hello everyone, I am new here.

I have been looking through today's rankings and I have noticed very strange things:

Players who participated in the World Team Championships last week but scored 0 points, count those 0 points as mandatory, and they take out valid points from the equation. Examples: Andy Roddick, Igor Kunitsyn, Igor Andreev, Dmitry Tursunov. Roddick loses a valid 45, Andreev a valid 10 and Tursunov a valid 15 because the 0 from the Team Cup takes precedence.

Was this always so, or is it a new rule ?

Re: ATP Rankings Thread

Thank you very much amir. But wait, i didn't knew the case about Dolgopolov. Bogolomov also seems to be available for playing for Russia!

And Harrison is not the USA number 5, but number 4 with the pullout by Fish. So now, without these cases (and the Mayer, which still can be reversed), the edge would be on Bellucci. Lopez just got out of the olympics now, which is a shame, as Almugrass can play!

Hasn't played enough DC ties.

I think they should waive it for Bogomolov though, as his case was because he was a nobody before 2011. He might want to play Washington instead though.

Oh, thank you!!! Well, the Bogomolov case is not this, but the fact that he was an american until recently, so he was not elegible to play for Russia until this year. But i've read a number of stories at that time saying he would be able to play the olympics for Russia, but don't know if they took in consideration the 2 DC ties.

Well, if Verdasco doesn't win with Muller then Lopez will have 5 points ahead
Still, it is a pity that Almagro will go and a good grass player like Lopez (even considering his results this year) will not be able to play in London.

Re: ATP Rankings Thread

I have a question for Wimbledon seedings
Its ranking before wimbledon week which is June 18. +100% of tournaments a year before, what tournaments will that be will it be only wimble 2011 and halle 2012 and london 2012, without netherlands and eastbourne as wimble is taking place a week after to last years. +75% of tournaments a year before that. my question is bit disorganized sorry.
