Good win for Florian. I'm always happy to see him win. The purple clay was probably too slow for Dr. Ivo. Too bad he didn't make good use of the wildcard.

How this mug took Nadal to third set TB, I'll never know. Good win for Mayer and good for the game.

With Dr. Ivo you never know, one day he can be two points away from beating Nadal, the other will lose 6-7 6-7 to a guy whom Nadal would devastate the same day 6-2 6-0.

Maybe Ivo wasn't motivated becasue he felt mistreated by the organizers???

Is this Mayer the german guy with an pretty decent game or that argentinian I have never seen play?

Re: Miami R1: F. Mayer def. Karlovic 6-4 7-6(6)

rotfl, Miami organizers vindicated, tennis is saved this week.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Karlovic was too focused on his clay season.
