Averted disaster. Saved 3 match points down *3-6 in the tiebreak. Saved match point serving at *4-5 30-40. Was down a break early in the third. Great job Fred.

Awful defeat for Capdeville Second match this year with 4 match points saved, Ben.Becker would have been a leader if he had beaten Granollers yesterday.

I've never ever seen a worse tournament than Key Biscayne 2011. The level of tennis - and mental fortitude - is pathetic.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of challenger-level clay courters win matches, I'd fly to South America

However, if you want to see Canadians win, think again.

SOS! This one was a heart-killer. Although it shouldn't have been, since Gil crushed Crapdeville in first set. Then, everything went crazy... But, anyhow, YES!!
Go Gil, Go Portuguese Tennis.
Next, you take down Almugro.

Fabio must have played awful if all of the other clay courters won! (i'll give Riba the benefit of the doubt and recognize his injury situation+barletta next week).

Go purple clay court tennis!

Glenn I wasn't insulting South America. But I dont expect clay court specialists to be dominating play in Miami. Plus I love flying to South America - beautiful continent. So it wouldn't be a bad thing to fly to see clay court mugs there.

One of the best nights of my life was spent in Sao Paulo

No I didn't take that in bad way.

I was just pointing out that, as muggish as they are, aren't as muggish as Canadian players (bar Raonic).
