Kevin is a good player on courts like this and in general, but this is a poor loss for Davydenko. Nikolay should be able to beat Anderson off the ground. Anderson served very well. Nikolay served at 70% but a majority of those serves were probably just throw ins.
With this loss Davydenko is now 6-7 on the season, with a 2-5 record after Doha. He's now 19-20 since returning from the wrist injury. I'm going to wait until the clay season before making any snap judgments but things have not gone in the correct direction for Nikolay and it's getting bad.
