Miami QR1: Farah def (9) Marchenko 1-6 6-3 6-3

Good win for Farah. It would be huge if he could qualify for this tournament and kick start his season. Meanwhile Marchenko keeps fading away.

Marchenko isn't exactly in good form these months.. Farah has obtained some impressive result last year on clay and then he faded away too.. I don't think Farah will ever win some important matches on hard courts, maybe on clay challengers..

Farah has a pretty good game for fast courts, from what I've seen.

Marchenko is out of the top 100 with this loss.

Farah is better on HC than clay, he's an HC player. He's been pretty average for the last months but he has good aggressive-style game, hits flat, decent serve, decent volleys. Not overwhelmingly talented but works hard. He plays Ilhan in QR2.

Farah's forehand is what he needs to improve if he wants to make it higher. The backhand is excellent and he trains in Miami quite a bit won't be easy against Illhan.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
