Indian Wells Scheduling

I was quite surprised when I looked at the OOP of today and only saw the two upper QFs on there.
Why the hell did they put all 4th rounds together yesterday, and split it apart again today?

I thought they did it yesterday to even things out and gives both finalists equal rest. But apparently not...

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

I think it was more about the fact that the three top seeds are playing both singles and doubles

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

So? Therefore they're adapting their whole schedule? Those guys can play two matches a day.

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

I'm aware that my bias might be showing, but given that Robredo only seemed to have one working leg yesterday, making him play again today seems a little...callous. If it's about the doubles, why couldn't they have the two QF match-ups that still have doubles involvement today and the other two tomorrow?

David Ferrer ▣ Tommy Robredo ▣ Marcel Granollers ▣ Javier Marti

Marco Chiudinelli ▣ Simone Bolelli ▣ Gerard Granollers ▣ Joao Sousa

Matteo Trevisan ▣ Inigo Cervantes ▣ Christian Lindell ▣ Oriol Roca

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

If Fed wants to win both events, he will have to play 6 matches in 4 days. Did something like that ever happen?

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

It isn't about the doubles, guys. The schedule was exactly like this when they announced it months ago. They always do this.

Federer |Söderling |most of the Germans

I also like: Wawrinka | Tsonga | Dimitrov | Isner | Gulbis |

Warm regards: 6-3 6-0 / 6-3 6-4

I'll need to check, but I'm sure McEnroe must have at some point.

it was planned like that before the tournament in the "tournament schedule", no adaptation or anything.

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

My only problem is that I can't see Nadal matches because he plays too late always.

And would be great If Tommy would can relax after his injury.

Never ever give up

Robredo is in the top half and his half of the draw already have a day off on Tuesday. The bottom half played for 2 consecutive days, Tuesday and Wednesday, that's why they will have today's off.

Re: Indian Wells Scheduling

Another problem with these 96-man draws, they have not much to show by the end of the week. Today was atrocious, Vika broke something (as usual) and Robredo was sure not to play after yesterday. Crowd will find the time very long. Wait for Karlovic forfeits and one of the double retirement.
