Cool Indian Wells R3: Albert Montanes (23) def. Nicolas Almagro (11) 4-6 6-2 6-4

Albert has improved a lot on hardcourt, great win.

Almagro kinda self-destructed.
All that clay court wins have taken their toll.
Rest up for Miami, Nic.

Simon/Karlovic next for Albert. Definitely winnable.

Almagro trying to not become a top 10 player, he knows it would be an all-time low in tennis history.

This score is an adequate response to the "Why does MTF hate Almugro" thread. Pathetic piece of shit.
At least the draw is wide open for Del Potro or Dolgopolov.

Re: IW R3: Albert Montanes def Nicolas Almugro 4-6 6-2 6-4

Well that proved my point all along........Almagro is just a dirtballer....nothing more. If he played as well on hard courts as he does on clay, he'd do better. And he'd be wise to get rid of his nasty attitude. That makes me like him even less than I already do. Screaming at a fan in the front row near the end didn't help his cause at all. Great win for Montanes. Didn't see this one coming at all. Hopefully he'll go deep.

There are times, rare moments, when the greatest of champions fall. Maybe because of a bad day or maybe there's pain within. One thing you can be sure of, is that all the great champions will bounce back again. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. But one day, they'll be back again. And they'll be better than ever. Why??? Because that's what great champions do. They survive.
