IW R2: Harrison def. GGL 6-3 7-6(4)

Solid display of tennis from the youngster.

Tea of truth:

Re: IW R2: Harrison def. GGL 6-3 7-6(4)

Nice one kid.
Took his chances and played pretty gutsy at times, attacking second serves and coming to the net from time to time.
This kid can grow into something.
That said, GGL was pretty bad today.

Nice win. Should beat Fish/Raonic, too.

Re: IW R2: Harrison def. GGL 6-3 7-6(4)

No real surprise in terms of the result. I was surprised, however, that just like the Young match, the Tennis Channel didn't show one damn minute of this contest. Those saying that America is the most nationalistic of the four Grand Slam countries (I'd say it is the least, fwiw) might be surprised to hear that they showed Del Potro-Ljubicic over Young-Murray yesterday, and Clijsters-Errani over Harrison-GGL today.

Re: IW R2: Harrison def. GGL 6-3 7-6(4)

Harrison was spotty at times, but played very solidly for much of the match. Clutch in the TB, especially to go up the first minibreak and on the winning MP.

Good stuff. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to watch an American player and root for him without any sense of shame or self-loathing.

Garcia Lopez is such a pathetic tennis-player... unbelievable.

And he is the nr. 25 in the world.

What a joke era.
