IW 3R: JM Del Potro vs A. Dolgopolov

Very interesting third round matchup. Highly contrasting styles, both could have advanced further with a kinder draw. Who wins? Vote and dicuss.

Dolgo in 3.

Re: IW 3R: JM Del Potro vs A. Dolgopolov

I don't know (my bet rather was on Dolgo before the tournament in this part of the draw),

but it may be a key match for the rest of the tournament with Murray out and Söderling with a fever : the winner has a chance to reach the semi.

And if Del Po reached the semi he would be ranked back around 50 nearly not needing a protected ranking anymore.

useless old guy

Re: IW 3R: JM Del Potro vs A. Dolgopolov

Del Potro in 2 sets,

he needs to save energy in order to beat Soderling next round, so I hope high first serve percentage and huge forehands to overpower Dolgo

Might well be silly, but I'm going with Dolgo in three.

i don't think del potro is ready to beat dolgo. his performance against flukicic was too mediocre to give him a chance against dolgo.

Re: IW 3R: JM Del Potro vs A. Dolgopolov

Really hope Dolgopolov wins this but I think the advantage goes to Del Potro. Del Porto has this strange game of being a ball basher but putting the ball in the court, so Dolgo will really have to slow down and play some good defense and be patient, which is not usually his style. If both play their game, Del Potro wins, but if Dolgopolov adjusts and plays smart then he will have a chance.
