Memphis QF:Del Potro routines Russell 6-4 6-2

That point at 6-4 3-1* 30-0

1st set is tight - JMDP got 3 consecutive love holds in his first three service games, but he had no answer on how to break serve, the only break came to the ninth game. It could have gone either way because Russell did a good job to stay in front of the set. But he just faltered and he ran out of gas in the 2nd set.

Roddick SF 3-0 H2H.

Excellent fight from Russell, just outgunned by the Tandil tower.

Now take out Rawdick.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Yes, great point in the 5th game of the 2nd set but Russell fucked it up anyway

Del Potro has great opportunity to win his first title since US Open, only big servers ahead, he was already tested by Isner in the 1st round, so he knows how to deal with booming serves in these conditions.

The score is wrong, 64 62 is correct.

Del Potro the superior player in the second set, good signs regarding movement and the like. Could be tight against Roddick, even in form they had close matches.

If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

Re: Memphis QF:Del Potro routines Russell 6-4 6-2

a very solid service game from Del Potro, Russell didn't manage to have a break point,

Del Potro seems to be quick with his footwork, a great defense, this can be an asset against Roddick for the semi, especially if Roddick gives a lot of pace on the rally, this can allows to Del Potro to comfortably play his game from the baseline with brutal forehands to win the point

Apparently Russell changed his nationality to Polish and his first name along with it.

Final against roddick tonight.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.
