Lots of errors by Davydenko and a few good shots. Gilles played well to win the tiebreak and did enough to win the second set after being up a double break.

Simon was not good but I've never seen Davydenko playing that bad : seemed that he didn't know anymore how to play tennis.

it's clearly a mental matter : if he gets confidence back, he can still play great as in Doha

useless old guy

After his loss last week, he didn't pick up a racket until this monday when he arrived at Marseille, according to the paper. He said on monday he's still dealing with the neck problem. But it's probably better than last week. And I guess Kolya is bad enough that Gilles can beat him without being 100%.

Shit result. Kolya should have won the tiebrake. He had an eassy FH to finish it but failed.
Oh well, at least only way from this slump is up

Simon has finally won a TB against Denko in the 4th attempt

Denko's TB record since Aussie Open '10: 5-20 (it was preceded by 17-1)
