Unhappy WWW San Jose Quarters: Berankis vs Raonic

Two up-and-coming young players who have both already made quite an impact in 2011. Great opportunity to get into the semis of an ATP event here and win some nice points!

I support Andy Murray!

Born to be the fourth best player in the world!

Milos will DESTROY him. Berankis is a limited player another boring workhorse. He cant contain Milos at all. 6-3 6-1, M.Raonic

I'll go with Raonic in 3, but this can go either way

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Re: WWW San Jose Quarters: Berankis vs Raonic

Tough call. Two rising stars of ATP I hope, both in a quarter of a "250" tournament. Good sign for ATP.
I will go with Raonic because he looks most matured from all of this bunch of youngsters.

RAFAEL NADAL PARERA

Career HIGHLIGHTS

2007|David Nalbandian strikes lucky to win against Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-0
2008|Mikhail Youzhny escapes Rafael Nadal 6-1 6-0
2008|Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was pushed to the edge by Rafael Nadal 6-2 6-3 6-2
2009|Juan Martin Del Potro survives Rafael Nadal 6-2 6-2 6-2

BEST RESULTS ARE YET TO COME....

Re: WWW San Jose Quarters: Berankis vs Raonic

AO was only 1 tournament, we saw a dark horse Milos Raonic but after AO began a new story. How many times we saw temporary good play in tennis ? 100 times we saw ''1 tournament player'' in tennis is the most important ''step by step'' your skills improvement. Berankis is very good example of this ''step by step'' situation. Milos Roanic for me is overrated and when i see odds on him 1.4 i just smile. I said it before his match against Simon Greul and Greul trashed him in straight sets. So, bookies simply overrated him in Johanesburg, they still lived in AO but this slam was a history.
I dont say that he isnt good, he is very dangerous with strong serve but he will have to show that game, what he showed in AO, in more tournaments. After yesterday, when Berankis choked this match will be no bet, 50/50.

One I wouldn't mind watching - the key will be Raonic's serving performance and Berankis's ability to return it.

Re: WWW San Jose Quarters: Berankis vs Raonic

never met in the juniors according to ITF website

the surface probably favors Raonic but Berankis is a good counterpuncher

useless old guy
