Igor really needed a win like this

Fought back from a break down in the 3rd with Mayer serving for it at 5-4. Then got to deuce on Mayer's serve at 6-5 but didn't break. The serve percentage was too low to beat a dangerous hard hitter like Leo.

I'm happy for Leo, his first MD ATP win since May 2010.

btw, last year in Sydney, Leo Mayer beat Andreev 6-7 6-3 7-6 saving 5 match points in the 3rd set...
